Like twitter, I just wanted to share my link to my facebook page too. I tend to update these a lot more than my blog.
Anyway here is the link http://www.facebook.com/Gemsgemsofmakeup. Feel free to have a look, or if you want to even like it 🙂 Up to you
Just a quick blog as I just wanted to share with you the other side of my makeup, my special effects. I do really enjoy both sides, but a couple of weeks ago I wanted to try my hand at some different takes on special effect makeup that I hadn’t tried before.
Anyway here it is….
Hopefully you don’t find it too gross.
As you all know, I find it difficult to master the flick on myself. However, I have just found a really helpful eyeliner pen.
Its brand new, Rimmel have only brought it out a few weeks ago! So far I find it really helpful along with a steady hand! Well heres my final result on myself…
Have any of you tried it before? Or even, has anyone found a great way to do eyeliner? Let me know!
I am so excited about my new beauty find! Well when I say find, I mean invention! Ill start off with how I came across it (do not worry I will make it quick!). I kept buying BB creams and once I had tried them I wasn’t happy with them. Either the colour wasn’t right, or the coverage was too weak, or it would make my skin dry. Either way I put them to one side and did’t use them – a total waste of money! One day I had run out of my regular BB cream so I thought I would mix all the ones I was not happy with. I am sure everyone has done this, but the mixture of my 4 products gave me such flawless skin.
Here are the 4 products I used:
Because I get dry skin I mixed in a bit of the moisturiser to avoid dry skin. I then used a duo fibre crown brush to apply it and I have never had such lovely looking skin before. If I wanted to look a bit more tanned I would add the darker looking BB cream in the mix.
I am aware how posey the picture looks, but here is my flawless looking skin :).
If you have any person inventions of your own, please feel free to let me know. I would love to hear them!
I know the title is not very exciting, but it is to the point.
All this blog is about showing you the brand new colour crush lipstick swatches (which I love).
The pinks… Starting from the top and working my way down:
Damson in Distress
The Right Mauves
Rush of Pink
Dare to Bare
Redhot Raspberry (one of my personal favourites!)
Now the reds…. once again starting from the top:
Crazy Sexy Crimson
Raspberry In Love
Coral Cutie (my absolute favourite!!)
Finally the browns…. starting at the top again:
Spice Things Up
Berry In Love
Crush on Caramel
Drive Me Nuts
All the lipsticks have numbers too but I love the names more (hence why I have written them instead). I know I said I would never comment on The Body Shop products as I work for them, but I find it so difficult to find colour that are so bold and moisturising as these. So far, they are my favourite lipsticks out there, totally affordable, and really long lasting!!
Hope you enjoy my colour swatching.
P.S Here is a quick peak of the Coral Cutie on me 🙂
Here is my first post about my amazing new products.
So far all I have tried is the eyeshadows. They have the most amazing pigment and blend amazingly. I have only tried the palette called Rainbow Cake, but I’m already in love. Anyway, here is a picture of my first eye look :).
I will blog more looks soon :).
In my previous blog I mentioned I had already tried the magenta liquid lipstick. So here it is…
I just love the colour :).
